HORSE OWNERS MASSAGE COURSES
Wendy has always been passionate about sharing her knowledge with others and is delighted to introduce her Horse Owners Massage Courses.
Massage is a wonderful way to bond with our horses, and to help support and maintain their general wellbeing, and it's a great way to get to know your horses body.
The Horse Owners Massage Courses are designed to introduce the horse owner to the benefits of massage, the various massage techniques and how to apply them effectively to the horse. The courses will contain some theory, and lots of hands-on practice to ensure that you can apply what you have learned to your own horses afterwards.
There are two levels: an introduction to massage for horse owners, and a more in-depth follow-up day for those that wish to further their knowledge.
Training will take place in small groups, maximum 6 people at any one time.
Introduction to Massage for Horse Owners
This Introduction to Horse Owners Massage covers an overview of massage, the main benefits, various massage techniques and their uses and importantly contraindications to massage and knowing when we need to involve other professionals. The course will cover a little bit of basic anatomy, just enough to know where we are putting our hands and why we might be feeling what we do. We will then practice the main massage techniques, making sure that you develop confidence in using them so that you can go home and apply them to your own horse. The day is designed to be a fun hands-on day.
The cost of the day is £85
Follow-on Day
The follow-on day is designed to give an additional level of information and skill for those that wish to take their massage a little further. The day will include a more detailed review of anatomy, information regarding muscle health and dysfunction and will cover some more advanced massage and stretching techniques, and in particular discuss which techniques might be useful for various issues.
Again, the day will include some theory and lots of hands-on practice ensuring that you can apply what you have learned. Whilst a little more detailed, this is still intended to be a fun and practcial day for horse owners.
The cost for this day is £85.
If booked together with the Introduction Day the total cost is £160

If you would like to arrange a date and venue local to you and believe that you can get a group of minimum four people together, please get in touch as this can be accommodated.
Bookings will be taken on a first-come first-served basis. Full payment will secure your place. If for any reason you become unable to attend your course, if your space can be filled your deposit can be returned or transferred. However, if your space can not be filled, your payment is non-returnable.
